Spring Festival Holiday in Bazhou district generates tourism revenue of 429.8 m yuan

During Spring Festival 2024, various regions in Bazhou district of Bazhong, Sichuan province, continued to host diverse and spectacular Chinese New Year activities, resulting in a total tourism revenue of 429.8 million yuan ($59.75 million).

In terms of transportation, before and after Spring Festival, Bazhou district deployed an average of 372 intercity buses daily, with 349 departures, serving over 39,203 passengers. The district's taxis transported over 1.22 million people, while public buses carried more than 1.28 million passengers.

Regarding leisure activities, Bazhou district received a total of 832,496 tourists during Spring Festival, generating the aforementioned tourism revenue. Popular attractions such as Bazhong's Jiangnan Axis, Bazhou Memory Cultural and Creative Industrial Park, and Xiangban Childhood Countryside Complex were particularly busy.

In terms of consumption, the consumer market in Bazhou district was bustling during Spring Festival, with major supermarkets responding by hosting "New Year Goods Festivals." According to statistics, three major retail enterprises—Shijilong Supermarket, Linni Supermarket, and Caifu Moer Supermarket—achieved a combined sales revenue of 21 million yuan over 8 days, marking a 25% year-on-year increase. Bazhong Rongbang Wanda Plaza attracted approximately 310,000 visitors and achieved sales of around 19 million yuan over the same period. Similarly, Bazhong Wangfujing Shopping Center attracted about 296,000 visitors and achieved sales of approximately 19.4 million yuan over 8 days.

In terms of employment, before and after Spring Festival, Bazhou district collected and organized over 13,000 job positions. They organized nine online and offline recruitment activities, such as "Attracting Talent to Industrial Parks, Finding Employment Locally" and the 2024 Migrant Worker Online Recruitment Fair, resulting in over 970 individuals expressing an intention to be employed. Additionally, special transportation services were provided for over 20,000 local migrant workers, ensuring their safe and orderly return to work.

Overall, Spring Festival in Bazhou district not only brought joy and entertainment to its residents and visitors but also significantly contributed to the local economy and provided employment opportunities.
