In order to further improve rural transportation conditions and the local travel environment, Bazhong, Sichuan province, has focused on rural road network construction, passenger transportation methods, and logistics delivery, providing strong support for the comprehensive promotion of the rural revitalization strategy and coordinated urban-rural development.

Improving road network construction

Bazhong has constructed a rural road network centered around towns and villages, focusing on serving industrial parks, village committees, and settlements. It has implemented projects to upgrade and improve roads leading to important economic nodes, as well as special road renovation projects, improving the conditions for travel on rural roads.

So far, 960.8 kilometers of new or renovated rural roads have been built.

Optimizing passenger transportation methods

Transportation models such as "urban buses + town and village buses + rural passenger bus operations" have been adopted. Special routes including commuter lines, student lines, and medical service lines have been opened.

Twenty comprehensive transportation service stations have been established in townships, and 12 new customized buses and integrated urban-rural bus routes have been added, achieving a 100% passenger bus rate in organized villages.

Facilitating logistics delivery

Efforts to promote the integration of rural logistics development have continued, constructing a three-level express logistics service network consisting of county-level sorting, town-level transfer, and village-level distribution.

Four county-level logistics distribution centers and 139 township express logistics operation centers have been established, achieving a coverage rate of over 97% for county, township, and village-level logistics nodes.

So far, nearly 900,000 pieces of mail have been delivered through logistics services, and agricultural products worth 3 million yuan ($420,534) have been sold through logistics delivery methods.
