The Fourth Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) is scheduled to take place in Southwest China’s Chongqing municipality from July 21 to 24, while the 2022 New Land-Sea Channel International Cooperation Forum will be held on July 22, according to a news conference held by the information office of the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government on July 13.

WCIFIT is an international trade and exchange platform for western China and the rest of the world.

The WCIFIT and the New Land-Sea Channel International Cooperation Forum are both meant to advance China’s western development strategy, its Belt and Road Initiative, and its reform and opening-up policy.

Combining exhibitions, forums, summits and investment and trade activities, WCIFIT features both onsite and online venues. Mexico will be the guest of honor, while Sichuan province and Ningxia Hui autonomous region will be the guest provinces of honor.

Featuring two major exhibition areas on investment trade and industrial promotion, the fair has 12 exhibition pavilions with a total estimated size of 160,000 square meters. In addition, there will be eight meetings and forums and seven investment trade activities.

Professionals can obtain relevant investment information and potential business partners through face-to-face communication, while regular people can experience the latest domestic technologies and purchase fashionable cross-border commodities.
